Grid-scale storage was held back by two physics problems: thermal runaway risk at scale, and degradation under load. Air and traditional liquid cooling leave cell temperature uneven - hot spots age faster, age faster means less bankable capacity, and less bankable capacity means storage stays a backup instead of becoming infrastructure.
We applied sealed-tray immersion thermal management to the batteries themselves - a world first at utility scale. Every cell submerged in single-phase dielectric fluid inside sealed trays. Temperature variation held within 2°C across the entire system. Remote cell-level shutdown under the Zero Ignition Architecture. The storage plant runs cooler, safer, and 30%+ longer than the industry baseline.
Uniform thermal profile across the full 140 MWh. Degradation stops concentrating in hot cells.
Versus traditional liquid cooling. The asset outlives its financial model - IRR keeps its shape.
Dielectric fluid, sealed trays, no oxygen at the cell. Closed loop, no evaporative loss.
The immersion architecture proven at Meizhou applies directly to compute. These are the measured design capabilities of the PDCool 6 and containerized AIDC family - the numbers a facility earns when heat is captured instead of thrown away.
Where air-cooled facilities run 1.5 - 2.0.
Up to 40% more compute per square meter.
8.6 PFLOPS per square meter of footprint.
At $0.02/kWh - district heat, process heat, LNG.
Utility, C&I, and off-grid systems delivered across the world - including 600 MW+ to China Southern Power Grid and island microgrids pairing PV, wind, diesel, and storage. A 30 MW AIDC at the Germany/France border runs on gas turbine plus Power Dynamics microgrid solutions. Zero safety incidents across all of it.
